Dierhagen and surrounding areas
Dierhagen is situated on the southernmost tip of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula, which was formed about seven thousand years ago from three separate islands.
At the connecting points, the peninsula north of Dierhagen is so narrow that one can see both the Baltic Sea and the Bodden from the dyke.
The white sandy beach stretches over the entire peninsula and flows into the north west in the Weststrand, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and can only be reached by bike or on foot. Here you can also find the Darßer lighthouse, which is a worthwhile excursion destination with its nature centre.
South of Dierhagen is the "Ribnitzer Großes Moor" nature reserve. This coastal area is home to many rare animals.
In addition, there are many other visitor attractions in the surrounding area. You can also visit the section with links to further websites from our region.
